Husband
To the One I’ll Build With,
I’m not calling in a fairytale.
I’m not looking for safety, or someone to complete me.
I’ve had enough lessons, illusions, and initiations to know: that’s not what love is for.
I’m not waiting for someone to rescue me from my loneliness.
I’m looking for the one who knows we are here to glorify God, together.
Not just in our prayers, but in our choices. In our art. In our daily acts of care.
I’m looking for someone who values reciprocity—of energy, of tenderness, of attention.
Not because it’s convenient or expected, but because generosity is in his nature.
Because love, to him, is a devotional offering, not a transaction.
I want my art to matter to you, because yours will matter to me.
Not as a performance, not as an identity, but as something sacred we protect in each other.
Because what we create from our union will not be for us alone, It will be our way of saying thank you to the force that brought us together.
This love won’t be perfect.
It won’t be easy.
But it will be honest.
It will be refining.
It will be holy.
Until we meet,
I’m building a life worth sharing.
One rooted in truth, creativity, peace, and service.
And I’ll be here.
Open, steady, and listening for your arrival.
With reverence,
Me
